How long does it take to hear back after submitting a rental request form?
Typical response times after a rental request submission is less than an hour. However, depending on the time your form was submitted, and the volume of submissions, it may take longer. You will receive a call in less than 24 hours. You will have a chance to schedule a call if your call back comes at an inopportune time.
What portion of Hilton Head Island do you service?
Rentals and deliveries may be made anywhere on Hilton Head Island. However, complimentary set up service is limited to the following areas. Visit our MAPS page for additional information! If you’re unsure about your location, just submit a rental request form and we’ll be able to determine if you’re eligible for our set up service!
What hours will my equipment be available?
At Shady Ron's Umbrella Service, we're dedicated to ensuring your beach days are as relaxing and hassle-free as possible. That's why we guarantee to have your beach equipment set up and ready to enjoy by 9 am each morning. And, after a long day soaking up the sun, we'll take everything down for you after 5 pm. However, we understand that sometimes you might want to hang out on the beach a little longer or enjoy the sunset. If you wish to keep any of your rented equipment out beyond our standard service hours, simply inform the employee handling the equipment takedown, and we'll happily accommodate your request. Just remember - any items left on the beach after sunset are considered litter and will be disposed of so be sure to bring the equipment back to the house with you.

Cancellation Policy
At Shady Ron's Umbrella Service, we understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide our customers with flexibility while allowing us to manage our inventory effectively.
Less than 48 Hours’ Notice: For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period, a 75% refund of the rental cost will be issued, less a $20 cancellation fee.
After Equipment Delivery: Once the equipment has been delivered, we are unable to offer any refunds. However, depending on availability, we may be able to exchange your items for other equipment that better suits your needs.
*Note – there shall be a grace period granting customers a full refund, minus a $20 cancellation fee if they call back to cancel on the same day their reservation was made.
Weather-Related Cancellations
We understand that weather can be unpredictable, but to maintain a fair and consistent approach, the following policy applies:
There will be no refunds or cancellations due to weather conditions, with the exception of hurricanes.
Hurricane Policy
In the event of a hurricane where mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for our service area, all rentals during the affected period will be eligible for a full refund, less a $20 cancellation fee.
Furthermore, in situations where significant impact from any named storm occurs, and even if mandatory evacuation orders are not in effect, we may make exceptions to our cancellation policy at our discretion.
